Es war eigentlich ja schon lange fällig: die Apfel- und Birnbäume an unserem Spalier haben in den vergangenen Jahren nur kaum noch getragen, und auch optisch waren sie nicht mehr besonders ansehnlich. Ich habe daher heute Vormittag die Säge angesetzt.
Dann kam aber das unschöne Erlebnis: im neuen Gartenmarkt Altenberge war „gähnende Leere“ an den Stellen, an denen ich eigentlich die Spalierobstbäumchen erwartet hatte. Und richtig: auch der Verkäufer, der uns kurz nach diesem Erlebnis erreichte, bestätigte es: 160 Spalierobstsetzlinge sind zwar bestellt, aber noch nicht eingetroffen. Er erwarte die Lieferung zwar jeden Tag, könne uns aber nicht sagen, wann sie tatsächlich eintreffen werde. Der Verkäufer war nett und zuvorkommend – aber das half natürlich nicht weiter. Bleibt also nur zu warten. Glücklicherweise fanden wir beim Herausgehen noch einen Bereich mit Setzkartoffeln, so dass wir nicht ganz umsonst nach Altenberge gefahren waren.
Bei Raiffeisen wurden wir dann immerhin noch (teilweise) fündig: ein kleiner Restbestand an Schnurbäumchen war noch da, und dort haben wir dann auch einen einzelnen Baum gekauft und anschließend zu Hause eingepflanzt. Dennoch ist das Spalier zur Zeit noch sehr kahl: bleibt also zu hoffen, dass die im Gartenmarkt avisierte Lieferung nun tatsächlich bald kommen wird! Das Kartoffelbeet ist auch vorbereitet. Ich denke, dass ich Anfang der Woche die Kartoffeln legen kann.
